I'm New
worship

Welcome!

We want to ensure that your time with us is as enjoyable as it should be.  We've answered a few of the most frequently asked questions here and are very happy to answer any others you may have.  Please feel free to contact us using the form on the contact page if you do not find the information you are looking for or if you would like to talk to someone.

What should I expect on a Sunday?
We you arrive at the entrance to the Christian Centre one or two people from the church will be available to greet you as you come in and will help you to find where to go.  You will receive a bulletin with the latest news from all around the church. Additionally we have welcome brochures with more information about the church available too.

Our Sunday services start at 10am, but we open our cafe from 9:15am, so there's no problem if you arrive earlier than 10am, you'll be able to relax.

We have lively yet informal worship with our band. One of our team will preach and share a message which is relevant and inspiring and we often have an opportunity to respond to the message during the meeting. We'll finish with an opportunity to have some time together over fresh cup of coffee.

People sometimes ask what they should wear when coming to be part of church on a Sunday, and we usually recommed that you come as you feel comfortable. Most people dress casually, however, with so many people from different backgrounds and cultures we have a wide range of styles and tastes.

What about my children?
We cater for all children as part of our Sunday programme.

Creche: There is a fully equipped and supervised creche facility which is suitable for children aged 0 - 2 ½.
Bubbles: If your children are aged 2 ½ - 4 we have a great group called Bubbles which is just for them.
TLC Childrens' Church: For those aged 5 or over we have our Kids Church which is called TLC.
All of the children's groups open midway through the service, and we make this clear through announcing it each week.
Youth: We regularly provide teaching for our younger youth on a Sunday morning during the preaching.

I'm not sure I'm ready for church yet...
Given how church is often portrayed in the media and the news, that is not surprising! Jesus lived the most amazing life and his message is both powerful and revolutionary, yet this image is far from that painted of church today. Church for us is a getting together of people who are being changed day by day by following Jesus. We're far from perfect, completely individual and amazingly diverse. Life is messy, often chaotic, but as we journey together we find ourselves as part of a community where we find encouragement, hope, strength and life. If you are on a journey towards faith, whatever stage you are at there is space for you to do that at your own pace.

I'd like someone to pray for me...
We've found again and again that God not only exists but meets us as we come to him. We've had the privilege of praying with hundreds of people and seeing some amazing breakthroughs as God changes our situations around. We'd love to pray with you if you would like us to. Please let us know by getting in touch with us or by coming along and responding during one of the opportunities that are given for people to receive prayer during the services.

Where do I park?  How do I get to you?
We information is available on the Directions Page here. There is usually plenty of parking available on a Sunday morning in the multi storey car parks which are situated within a very short distance of the Christian Centre. There is usually a charge for parking in these car parks.

What else is going on through the week?
There are lots of different activities taking place during the week at TWCF for everyone and the details of many of these are available on this site. However, we are always open for new creative ideas, inspiration and people to help us to fulfil our mission and vision. If you are not part of a church already we'd love to connect with you on a Sunday or in any of our activities.

How do I join in?
When you come on Sunday it is likely that within a week or two you will be invited to a Welcome Meal (if this doesn't happen please just ask when the next one will be).  We encourage all who are new to TWCF to come along to these to get to know some of the leadership team from the church.  The meals are held after a service on a Sunday morning.  Following the Welcome Meal we then hold a two session Getting Connected course which will help you to understand more about the church and about how you can be a part of it. These interactive sessions are a great introduction to life at TWCF.
